Golweyn Women and Youth Empowerment, in partnership with the Department of Health—Wajir County, held an impactful health talk on menstrual health and hygiene today at Furaha Girls Secondary School.
The session was led by Mrs. Nimo Golo, County Health Promotion Coordinator, who provided valuable insights on menstrual health awareness and best hygiene practices. She was joined by Mrs. Halima Ahmed, Executive Director of Golweyn, along with her dedicated team, who also shared empowering messages with the students.
We were honored by the presence of the school principal, Mrs. Deka, and grateful for the full participation of the entire school community.
To wrap up the session, Golweyn Executive Director generously distributed dignity kits and biscuits to the girls as part of our commitment to support adolescent health and well-being.
Together, we are breaking the silence around menstruation and empowering girls with knowledge, confidence, and dignity.
